Adding website and setup chatbot

Before you get started you need a Botgento account and Facebook Page (with admin role).

Login to your Botgento dashboard and follow below steps.

Step 1. Add a new website

Add the website for which you want to create Facebook messenger chatbot. Click on "Add New Website" button.

If you have multiple websites, you can manage from top navigation menu.

Step 2. Enter Magento store details

Enter your store Name, URL, and Timezone.

Step 3. Authorize required permission for your Facebook Account.

This is the mandatory step if you want to create Facebook messenger chatbot, without all those permission Botgento will not work properly. You can verify granted permission by look up at https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=applications by clicking on Botgento app.

Step 4. Connect Facebook page

After granting required permission, you need to connect your Facebook page for chatbot.

Step 5. Connect your Magento store

Lastly connect your Magento store with Botgento. We assume that you already installed Botgento extension for Magento before performing this step. Read more about Magento extension at Magento 1 Wiki and Magento 2 Wiki page.

Step 6. Setup welcome message (optional)

Configure welcome message which shows to your subscribers when they opt-in into your messenger chatbot. You can do this later on through Botgento dashboard.
